I primarily own lewmaggio.org as a mail domain and have operated it for the last several years without a public facing website of any sort. I decided to finally set something up so I could share a few bits of information that I find interesting, mostly with friends.

I chose MediaWiki (the software that runs Wikipedia) because I use it at work to write documentation so I'm already familiar with basic wiki markup and I find it easier to write content with than a traditional CMS. Most of the features go to waste since MediaWiki is designed as a collaborative environment, but I have no intention of turning my personal website into a group project.
